The threat to take 400,000 ALL from a person in Elbasan led to the arrest of a 35-year-old man from Tirana. The young man identified as Ermir Bajrami was arrested in the act while taking the money. He is charged with the criminal offense of "Extortion by means of threats or violence to give away property".

The investigative actions show that the 35-year-old, in cooperation with others, threatened a person for giving 400,000 new leks, a sum which was seized as material evidence, together with a mobile phone and the bicycle with it which the arrested person was moving.

In cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office at the Elbasan Judicial District Court, the work continues for the clarification and complete documentation of this case, as well as for the identification of other persons involved in this criminal activity.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance Elbasan, for further actions. A citizen was forced by means of threats to give 400,000 new leks, thanks to the timely intervention of the Police services, he was arrested in the act while receiving the money, the 35-year-old.

The specialists of the investigative and operational structures of DVP Elbasan, supported by informational intelligence that a citizen was coerced by means of threats, into giving a sum of money, have initiated a proactive investigation, in cooperation with the Prosecution of Elbasan, and as a result have organized and finalized the coded police operation "Shifra".

In the framework of this operation, citizen EB, 35 years old, resident in Tirana, was arrested for the criminal offense of "Extortion through threats or violence to give away property". Thanks to the timely intervention of the Police services, this citizen was caught in the act while receiving the amount of money.

From the investigative actions, it results that the 35-year-old, in cooperation with others, threatened a citizen for giving 400,000 new leks, the amount of which was seized as material evidence, together with a mobile phone and the bicycle with him which the arrested person was moving.
