Vladimir (Valmir) Kolën, the main suspect in the execution of Briken Sanaj, has been extradited from Germany.

The 42-year-old was arrested in Germany in April 2024 after being accused of the execution of Briken Sanaj, a crime that occurred on October 30, 2022, in the "Kodra e Diellit" complex.

Against him, the Tirana Court, with the decision dated November 23, 2022, has imposed the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offenses of "Premeditated murder" and "Unauthorized production and possession of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition".

Vladimir (Valmir) Kola is suspected of having, in collaboration with other citizens, shot and killed Briken Sanaj in revenge.

Police announcement:

Accused of premeditated murder, in 2022, the 42-year-old man declared internationally wanted will be extradited from Germany.

The 42-year-old was arrested in Germany in April 2024, during the codenamed "Versus" operation, finalized as a result of the exchange of information between the State Police and their German counterparts.

Within the framework of the cooperation of Interpol Tirana with Interpol Wiesbaden, for the localization, capture and extradition of citizens declared internationally wanted, the citizen has been extradited from Germany to Albania:

VK alias VK, 42 years old.

The First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Tirana, with the decision dated 23.11.2022, has assigned this citizen the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offenses "Premeditated murder" and "Unauthorized production and possession of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition".

This citizen is suspected of having killed citizen BS with a firearm on 30.10.2022, in the "Kodra e Diellit" complex, in collaboration with other citizens.

The Tirana Prosecution Office has completed the investigations and sent Vladimir (Valmir) Kola, the main suspect in the execution of Briken Sanaj, to trial, as well as the other 4 defendants.

Vladimir Kola has been charged with 'Premeditated Murder' and 'Unauthorized Possession and Production of Weapons', while the other 4 defendants, Gjelosh Krasniqi, Kened Antoni, as well as citizens with the initials EH, and ZK, have been charged with the criminal offense of 'Failure to Report a Crime' and 'Supporting the Author of a Crime'.

The serious crime in the 'Kodra e Diellit' complex shocked Tirana on the evening of October 30, 2022.

According to the prosecution, Briken Sanaj's brother had a conflict in 2012 with Vladimir (Valmir) Kola's brothers after they harassed his fiancée.

Investigations have revealed that the attacker traveled from Barcelona to Podgorica Airport and entered Albania illegally without registering at the checkpoint.

Më pas Vladimir (Valmir) Kola ka blerë një automjet duke përdorur targat e një makine tjetër, që pas vrasjes së Briken Sanajt u gjetur e djegur në fshatin Domje.

Brenda automjet u gjet edhe arma e krimit, ndërsa autori ka kaluar sërish në Mal të Zi në mënyrë të paligjshme.

Prokuroria e Tiranës dërgon në gjyq shtetasin V.K., për ‘Vrasje me paramendim’ tek kompleksi ‘Kodra e Diellit’ dhe katër të pandehur të tjerë

Prokuroria pranë Gjykatës së Shkallës së Parë të Juridiksionit të Përgjithshëm, Tiranë, përfundoi hetimet dhe dërgon në gjyq për ‘Vrasje me paramendim’ dhe ‘Mbajtja pa leje dhe prodhimi i armëve’ shtetasin V.K. për vrasjen e shtetasit B.S. në kompleksin ‘Kodra e Diellit’ më 30.10.2022.

Po kështu, Prokuroria e Tiranës dërgon në gjyq dhe katër shtetasit e tjerë, Gj.K., K.A., E.H., dhe Z.K. për veprën penale ‘Moskallëzim krimi’ e ‘Përkrahje të autorit të krimit’.

Nga hetimet e procedimit penal nr.7911, 2024 nga Prokuroria pranë Gjykatës së Shkallës së Parë të Juridiksionit të Përgjithshëm, Tiranë, rezultoi se vëllai i viktimës në vitin 2012 është konfliktuar me vëllezërit e autorit, pasi i kanë ngacmuar të fejuarën.

Në përfundim të hetimeve mbi ngjarjen e tetorit 2022 ku shtetasi B.S. u qëllua me armë zjarri, këqyrjes së kamerave, vendit të ngjarjes dhe administrimit të aktekspertimeve, Prokuroria pranë Gjykatës së Shkallës së Parë të Juridiksionit të Përgjithshëm, Tiranë, arriti në konkluzionin se i pandehuri V.K., ka udhëtuar nga Barcelona në drejtim të Aeroportit të Podgoricës dhe ka hyrë në Shqipëri në mënyrë të paligjshme pa u regjistruar në pikën e kontrollit.

Pas kësaj ai ka blerë një automjet duke përdorur target e një mjeti tjetër, i cili pas vrasjes së shtetasit B.S. është gjetur i djegur në fshatin Domje.

Brenda tij është gjetur arma e krimit, ndërsa autori ka kaluar sërish në Mal të Zi në mënyrë të paligjshme.

Sa më sipër, prokuroria kërkon dërgimin në gjyq për të pestë të pandehurit.

Arrestimi i Vladimir Kolës

41-vjeçari me dy emra Vladimir (Valmir) Kola u lokalizua në qytetin Gelsenkirchen dhe u vendos në pranga më 27 prill 2024 më qëllim ekstradimin në Shqipëri.

Vladimir Kola ishte shpallur në kërkim ndërkombëtar nga Interpol Tirana, pasi Gjykata e Tiranës më 23 nëntor 2022, i ka caktuar masën e sigurisë “Arrest në burg”, për veprat penale “Vrasja me paramendim” dhe “Mbajtja pa leje dhe prodhimi i armëve, armëve shpërthyese dhe i municionit”.

“Më datë 30.10.2022, në zonën e quajtur “Kodra e Diellit”, shtetasi V.(V.) K., në bashkëpunim me shtetas të tjerë, dyshohet se ka vrarë me armë zjarri shtetasin B. S”, informuan blutë.

Si ndodhi atentati

Policia e Tiranës sqaroi 1 muaj pas krimit se shtetasi nga Peja, Kened Antoni, i ka shitur automjetin Gjelosh Krasniqit. Më pas, automjeti ka hyrë në territorin e Shqipërisë.

"From the entirety of the investigative actions carried out in function of the criminal proceedings of 2022, it has resulted that the Kosovar citizen Kened Antoni sold the vehicle to another Kosovar citizen Gjelosh Krasniqi, on 24.10.2022, and on this same date, these citizens brought this vehicle into the territory of Albania and made it available to the citizen Vladimir (Valmir) Kola, who used the vehicle to carry out the murder of the citizen Briken Sanaj.

"After the incident, the suspected perpetrator burned the vehicle on the Tirana-Durrës secondary road, along with the crime weapon," the capital's police announced.

Briken Sanaj was executed with three Kalashnikov bullets near his apartment in the "Kodra e Diellit" neighborhood in the capital on October 30, 2022.

The author waited for him while he was returning from a family celebration in the city of Lezha.

He showed up at the residence under the name of his cousin, who got married that same day.

Briken Sanaj, who was known as Skerdilajd in his childhood, had returned from Italy shortly before he was executed.

The victim's brother, Antonio alias Renato Sanaj, injured Gentian Kola 13 years ago, who has remained disabled since then.

The two families in Lezha were at loggerheads and attempts at reconciliation were unsuccessful.
