The Agency for the Administration of Seized and Confiscated Assets from organized crime or corruption managed properties worth nearly 140 million euros at the end of December last year.

However, non-inventory according to the requirements of the law, serious violations in the procedures for their sale, abuse of employee contracts and suspected nepotistic and corrupt employments have increased the risk of the alienation of these properties and their return to the possession of persons convicted by justice. .

These are the serious violations found by the High State Control in the compliance audit carried out in this agency, directed by Adrian Koni.

Lack of implementation of legal criteria, lack of creation of a database related to general information on all seized and confiscated properties, lack of registration and monitoring of all seized and confiscated objects rented out , says KLSH, is a clear indication that the objectives of creating the system have not been achieved and therefore the level of risk regarding the smooth running of the work for the administration of seized and confiscated assets is high.

More specifically, the report states that in five procurement procedures for the sale of properties confiscated by the courts, a large difference was found between the calculated limit fund and the value of the winning contract.

According to KLSH, the asset cards seized and confiscated at the end of December last year do not contain bank extracts and asset inventory cards according to their administrators, minutes are not found and there is a lack of organization and documentation of the accounting actions of the administrators' activities that are charged for these properties.

For all these violations, KLSH recommends in the report that the chief administrator of the agency be dismissed from the civil service./ Balkanweb
