The Director of Prisons brings together representatives of religious faiths: The body can be imprisoned, but the soul remains free

Director Klevis Qose brought together representatives of religious communities in a special meeting, where the role of religion in the penitentiary system was discussed. 

Everyone unanimously emphasized that religion has a great impact in prisons, helping to rehabilitate and reintegrate prisoners and bringing spiritual peace to their lives.

This roundtable was attended by Tauland Bica from the Muslim Community, Father Nikolla Kodheli from the Autocephalous Orthodox Church, Dom Kreshnik Ivan, Chaplain of Tirana-Durrës Prisons, the World Bektashi Patriarch, Haxhi Dede Edmond Brahimaj and Ergjest Biti from the Evangelical Brotherhood.

Director Qose praised the cooperation and dedication of all representatives, emphasizing that the body may be imprisoned, but the spirit remains free, and that cooperation between communities is a bridge that connects and strengthens the spirit.
