The Supreme Court upholds the sequestration measure taken against the villa of Arben Ahmetaj's co-habitant in Hamallaj and that of his ex-wife's villa in Palasa.
Through a decision made in the consultation room, the Supreme Court decided not to accept the objection made by Ahmetaj's roommate, as well as ED, the owner of the villa in Palasa, which according to SPAK, actually belongs to his ex-wife.
According to SPAK, the villa in Palasa is part of a residential complex and is suspected to be owned by the ex-wife of the former Minister of Finance.
The building in question is not registered in the name of Ahmetaj's ex-wife, but in the name of a lady, close to her. The ex-wife of the senior official herself has denied having anything to do with this facility.
While the villa in Hamallaj was seized by court decision, it belongs to the current co-habitant of the former deputy prime minister, Ahmetaj. The premises of the same villa were subjected to a search by BHK agents on March 8.
