A mega-operation was carried out in the early hours of the morning in several cities, where several people accused of being part of a structured criminal group were arrested.

Behar, Ilir and Safet Bajri alias (Rustemi) are among those arrested.

The police went to check Safet Bajri's house, where he was found with a gun in his hand, which he dropped as soon as he saw the police.

However, Behar Bajri was considered one of the most dangerous characters of the underworld in Albania. Behar Bajri is accused of having killed his 15-year-old partner, Fabiola Bajri, and citizen Arben Tuzi in their sleep, these events took place in 2002.

We remind you that Safet Bajri was released on March 3 of this year, while he has already returned to the cell. The "strongman" of Shkodra was sentenced in Brussels to 9 years in prison for drug trafficking and prostitution. In the absence of extradition, he will be sentenced to 3 years in Belgium, while the rest should have been served in Albania.

Safet Bajri was arrested in Tirana in September 2018, at the request of the Belgian authorities. In Belgium he was sentenced twice, first in 2015 with 9 years in prison, and then in 2017 with 13 years in prison.

Safet Bajri was arrested after a police operation in Shkodër, along with his brother Ilir Bajri, Ismet Idrizi and Asmer Bilali. The international operation "Oaz" arrested within a year 11 members of the "Bajri" group, who were accused of a series of serious criminal offenses, such as: threats, illegal fines, murder, drug trafficking, money laundering, etc.

The "Bajri" group is known as one of the most dangerous criminal structures in Shkodër and abroad. The conflicts with the other group "Lici" have produced a large number of victims.

Also, another detail from the mega-operation of the State Police, spread over several cities, is the fact that Xhevahir Lita was a prosecutor in Shkodër when it is suspected that the criminal events that are thought to connect these characters to each other took place.
