A warehouse in Shkozet burns down, half of Durrës remains without power!
Durres

A large fire engulfed a warehouse in the Shkozet area of Durrës on Thursday afternoon , causing power outages in a large part of the city.

According to preliminary information, the fire is suspected to have been caused after two high-voltage cables were disconnected due to high temperatures and fell onto the warehouse, setting the facility on fire.

At the time of the fire, workers were in the warehouse. It is not yet known whether everyone got out or if there are any people trapped, while it is learned that the flames are also threatening three apartments near the warehouse.

For safety reasons, the police have blocked vehicle traffic on the Plepa-Durres axis, after high-voltage cables fell onto the road.

As a result of damage to the power line, about half of the city of Durrës has been left without electricity.
