Violence against protesters in Zvërnec, Appeal releases one of the private guards from the cell!

The Court of Appeal has released from prison one of the private security guards, arrested for the violence he used during the clash with protesting citizens in Zvërnec, on May 31.

For Gazmend Vathi, who was left in prison by the Vlora Court, the Appeals Court reduced the security measure to "house arrest", while for Artur Grani, the measure "prison arrest" was left in effect.

Meanwhile, as of 2:00 PM, the complaint of the owner of the Major Security company, Geraldo Biba, is being reviewed.

We recall that during clashes with protesters in Zvërnec, a citizen was dragged away by private security forces, in the presence of State Police officers, who did not react.

Pepper spray was also used against the protesters, which further aggravated the situation during the rally.

These clashes led to the dismissal of the director of the Vlora Police, Elidon Çela. The country was then engulfed in a wave of protests, which continue to this day.
