As soon as they approached the Rinas roundabout, the perpetrators opened fire with automatic weapons, leaving Dan dead and Shaljan seriously injured.

After the volley, the "Benz" vehicle in which Dani and Shaljan were traveling drove a few more meters and stopped, while one of the perpetrators, wearing a hat and mask, got out of the other vehicle, approached and shot several times with a pistol to make sure the target was dead.

Then, they get back in the car and drive off towards Fushë Krujë. Meanwhile, a few minutes later, near the village of Halil in Fushë Krujë, the police find a burned-out Toyota car, suspected to have been used by the perpetrators.

Initial investigations indicate that 4 firearms were used in the attack.
