The evening of January 2nd shocked Berat with a hail of bullets.

In Berat, in the "Donika Kastrioti" neighborhood, two people (brothers) already identified by the police shot at two other people, who fortunately escaped the bullets by running inside the neighborhood.

According to preliminary information, the perpetrators, the Maloku brothers, and the two people who were the targets of this incident had a disagreement that is thought to have started in the Greek state.

Meanwhile, the police have launched a search to find the Maloku brothers.

"Following the preliminary information provided yesterday afternoon, where two citizens fired firearms from a vehicle towards citizens AM, and A. Dh., 39 years old, both residents of Berat, we inform you that:

Following rapid investigative actions, the Serious Crimes Investigation Sector at the Berat Police Department was able to identify and declare wanted citizens FM, 36 years old, and MM, 35 years old, (brothers), both residents of Durrës.

Intensive checks continue in collaboration with the Durrës Police Department, to capture the two brothers who are wanted.

Under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, intensive investigations continue for the full legal documentation of the case.

"The materials will be forwarded to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Berat for further action," the police announced.
