Weather conditions during Thursday night were relatively calm in the mountainous areas of the Elbasan Municipality , where no snow blockages were reported, despite the fact that in some areas its thickness exceeded 30 centimeters.

The responsible structures have worked throughout the night to keep the road axes open.

Meanwhile, problems have been identified in several areas of the Gramsh Municipality , where as a result of bad weather and low temperatures, power outages have been reported.

Teams are on the ground to restore supply, while the situation remains under monitoring.

In the territory of the Municipality of Elbasan, there is currently snow in the villages of the administrative units of Gjinar, Gracen, Labinot Mal, Zavalinë and Funar.

The Elbasan-Gjinar and Elbasan-Gracen axes are normally passable without chains and without problems with electricity.

The Elbasan–Funar road is also passable without chains, but their use is recommended on the connecting axes towards the villages of Korrë, Cërrunjë and Mollagjesh.

The Elbasan–Labinot Mal axis and the Elbasan–Zavalinë road are only passable with chains, due to low temperatures and the presence of snow.

The electricity supply in these areas of Elbasan appears normal.

The teaching process in the affected units has been suspended and will be replaced on Saturday, January 17. Meanwhile, the Road Authority continues its work on the ground with salting the roads.

Regarding national axes, the Prrenjas–Qafë Thanë road is passable normally, while the Librazhd–Peshkopi axis appears difficult to pass due to the large presence of ice and the lack of salting, even for vehicles with chains.
