American Secretary of State, Antony Blinken during the meeting with the youth in Tirana

A student from Tropoja was chosen for the opening speech of the American Secretary of State, Antony Blinken with the young people at the premises of the Pyramid in Tirana.

After the welcoming speech, Blinken addressed the young Albanians, mentioning during his speech some examples of success of Albanian-Americans such as Dua Lipa and Mira Murat.

Blinken humorously said that if it is true that an American secretary brings luck to the Albanian national team, he will return during the European finals. This is because the first time the national team qualified for the European Championship, coincided with the visit of the American Secretary of State to Albania.

"I saw today in the streets of Tirana, the energy for the future. The future integrated with the West and the world. Last year Albania had a record number of tourists, your country qualified for the European. I will come during the cup finals and maybe I can help you. You are seeing the strong ties of our countries. Young Americans are dancing the night away with Dua Lipa, AI's boss is Murat. In New York, one of the best restaurants is Albanian," said Blinken.
