The Ombudsman visits Erion Veliaj in prison

The Ombudsman, Erinda Ballanca, and the two commissioners, Ahmet Prençi and Besnik Dedja, visited the mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, today at the Durrës prison.

Veliaj has been in detention for several months. The Ombudsman's visit is said to have come after a complaint from Mayor Veliaj.

It is unclear what specific complaint Veliaj has filed.
