 The driver of the ring bus, who the day before caused the massive accident in the capital, where 9 people were injured, was arrested on Monday evening. For the investigative authorities, it is clear that he was in violation of the traffic rules. Film footage from different angles shows that the driver Agron Xhafa deviates from his path and overtakes other cars.

But currently, the reasons that led the 63-year-old to lose control of the vehicle remain unclear. He himself stated that he was not aware. The driver claims that he suffers from heart disease and diabetes and at the time of the accident he was in a state of fainting.

Invited to the Klan News studio, urban traffic specialist Gerhard Baka said that currently  "the investigative group is analyzing all the necessary evidence to come to a conclusion as to whether we are dealing with a loss of consciousness, the psychophysical state of the driver , or are we dealing with a technical anomaly of the vehicle".

Baka says that he was the first person who had contact with the bus driver. The police specialist says that the 63-year-old man was in a state of shock, so much so that he was unable to give his name and that he sobered up after arriving at the hospital.

"I can confirm that since I arrived very quickly at the scene and made contact with the driver of the vehicle, I can confirm that the first moment I made contact, I found that he was in a friend post-traumatic as a result of the accident, where the gentleman in question did not communicate, did not even give the generalities of his name when I interviewed him, did not even tell me if he needed medical help or not. So let's say that he was in a total shock and I found this myself, until the moment we made it possible to transport him to the hospital premises, where he later clarified, sobered up and began to clarify the circumstances as far as he was concerned think When in reality it is not that he has declared anything very big because he has declared that he does not remember what happened,

"Examinations have been carried out, examinations are being carried out. The investigative group also administered the driver's medical card, medical booklet, to see any pathology he may have had, because it is assumed and there is information that he suffers from a long-term illness, such as diabetes, and is being treated for this. But it remains to be further verified by the investigation group".

The passengers who were on the bus gave different versions. Some have expressed to the investigators that they did not notice anything to indicate health problems in the driver, others that they saw him in cold sweat.

Po çfarë ndodh nëse vërtetohet që shoferi e ka humbur kontrollin e autobusit vërtetë për shkak të një problemi shëndetësor?

Baka also says that people suffering from diabetes are not prohibited from obtaining such a certificate, while adding that  "there is a special commission that meets for this category of vehicles, a medical commission that determines and gives approval if this vehicle driver is capable or not to drive such category of vehicle".
