The escape of an arrestee from police premises, three police officers in Elbasan suffer!

Three officers have been suspended from duty after an arrestee escaped from police premises at the Elbasan Police Station.

The escape of the person detained by the police, a citizen with the initials BZ, is reported to have occurred on June 3.

According to AMP, "these police officers, through inaction and in violation of the provisions provided for in the legal and sub-legal acts that regulate the work of the State Police, have not taken the necessary measures for the treatment and security of persons detained/accompanied in police premises, resulting in the escape of citizen BZ, who was arrested in flagrante delicto, as a person suspected of a criminal offense."

The three officers suspected of the criminal offense of "Abuse of office" and suspended from duty are:

– Deputy Commissioner A. ZH., 35 years old, with the duty of Specialist for Order, at the Elbasan Police Station;

– ⁠Inspector PB, 54 years old, with the duty of Assistant Information Specialist, at the Elbasan Police Station;

– Inspector J. GJ., 60 years old, with the duty of Assistant Specialist for the maintenance of security rooms, at the Elbasan Police Station.

AMP suspends 3 police officers in Elbasan

The Police Supervision Agency (Elbasan-Korçë Region) has implemented the order of the Prosecutor's Office for the execution of the decision of the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Elbasan, which has imposed the preventive security measure "Suspension of the exercise of a public duty or service" against three police officers at the Elbasan Police Station, suspected of "Abuse of duty", specifically;

– Deputy Commissioner A. ZH., 35 years old, with the duty of Specialist for Order, at the Elbasan Police Station;
– Inspector PB, 54 years old, with the duty of Assistant Information Specialist, at the Elbasan Police Station;
– Inspector J. GJ., 60 years old, with the duty of Assistant Specialist for the maintenance of security rooms, at the Elbasan Police Station.

The assignment of security measures for the aforementioned police officers was made possible, as evidence and facts were obtained from the investigations conducted regarding the event of 03.06.2025 that these police officers, through inaction and in violation of the provisions provided for in the legal and sub-legal acts that regulate the work of the State Police, did not take the necessary measures for the treatment and security of persons detained/escortated in police premises, resulting in the escape of citizen BZ, who was arrested in flagrante delicto, as a person suspected of a criminal offense.
