The Fier Prosecutor's Office has seized 15 properties and bank accounts of two brothers, NB, EB and their families, who were convicted in England for drug production. These include 6 apartments in Yzberisht, Tirana, and Golem, Kavaja, 5 garages in Tirana, 1 unit in Yzberisht, as well as 3 bank accounts with a total value of over 368 thousand euros. 

The investigation was launched on the basis of suspicions that NB, through his family members, had invested proceeds from criminal activity in various assets. The investigation documented that NB was convicted on 19 June 2017 by Shrewsbury Crown Court for the production of narcotics, while his brother, EB, was convicted of the same offence on 19 April 2024 by Leeds Crown Court.

The Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Fier, seizes 15 movable and immovable assets of citizen NB and his family members, suspected of committing the criminal offense 'Laundering of the proceeds of a criminal offense or criminal activity' provided for by Article 287 of the Criminal Code.

In the framework of the investigations into criminal proceedings no. 270 of 2019, registered on the basis of a referral from the Fier Local Police Directorate, where there were suspicions that citizen NB, through his family members, was involved in the activity of laundering the proceeds of a criminal offense or criminal activity, it was found that the monetary values ​​​​obtained from the criminal activity were invested in the purchase of immovable and movable assets, which are used as a means of laundering the proceeds of criminal activity.

The prosecution, based on the facts and data obtained, considered conducting in-depth verifications of the properties and assets owned by the suspect and, after administering the necessary evidence, primarily registered property proceeding no. 2, dated 13.11.2025.

The investigation documented the fact that citizen NB, on 19.06.2017, was convicted by Shrewsbury Crown Court (UK) for the production of narcotics. Similarly, citizen EB (brother) was convicted by Leeds Crown Court (UK) on 19.04.2024 for the same offense.

From the verifications so far, it results that citizens NB, EB and their families own real estate or bank accounts that are not justified by income, and these two citizens do not document the origin and economic opportunity to acquire these assets.

Based on this data, at the request of the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Fier and with the approval of the Fier Court, the following assets were seized:

1. Apartment-type property, with a surface area of ​​108.56m2, Yzberisht, Tirana, owned by citizen NB;

2. Garage-type property, with a surface area of ​​18.04 m2, Yzberisht, Tirana, owned by citizen NB;

3. Garage-type property, Yzberisht, Tirana, owned by citizen EB;

4. Apartment-type property, with a surface area of ​​69.11 m2, Golem, Kavaja, owned by citizen EB;

5. Property of the unit type, with a surface area of ​​136.1m2, Yzberisht, Tirana, owned by citizen MB;

6. Apartment-type property, with a surface area of ​​90.2 m2, Yzberisht, Tirana, owned by citizen MB;

7. Garage-type property, with a surface area of ​​25.33 m2, Yzberisht, Tirana, owned by citizen MB;

8. Apartment-type property, with a surface area of ​​111.70 m2, Yzberisht, Tirana, owned by citizen ZB;

9. Garage-type property, with a surface area of ​​28.40 m2, Yzberisht, Tirana, owned by citizen ZB;

10. Apartment-type property, with a surface area of ​​119.30 m2, Tirana”, owned by citizen KB;

11. Apartment-type property, with a surface area of ​​105.9 m2, Yzberisht, Tirana, owned by citizen LB;

12. Garage-type property, with a surface area of ​​24.60m2, Yzberisht, Tirana, owned by citizen LB;

13. Bank accounts in second-tier banks of the EB citizen, up to the value of 205'029.41 (two hundred five thousand twenty-nine point forty-one) Euros;

14. Bank accounts in second-tier banks of the UN citizen, up to the value of 100'000 (one hundred thousand) Euros; and

15. Bank accounts in second-tier banks of citizen JB, up to the value of 63,000 (sixty-three thousand) Euros.

In addition, the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Fier expresses its full commitment to continuing the investigations of group crimes related to illicit enrichment by taking measures for their seizure and confiscation.
