"Lushnja Massacre", the Supreme Court seals life imprisonment for
Orgest Bilbili and Anterio Kaloshi

Orgest Bilbili and Anterio Kaloshi are ultimately sentenced to life imprisonment.

The Supreme Court upheld the decision of the Special Court of Appeal of March 20, 2023, sentencing two of the perpetrators of the "Lushnja Massacre", Anterio Kaloshi and Orgest Bilbili, to life imprisonment.

The appeal found Bilbil and Kaloshi guilty of the murder of Zamir Latif and Jurgen Hoxha, as well as the wounding of Bujar Turku and Marius Xhepexhiu, an event recorded in Lushnja in 2017.

The two convicts are accused of the criminal offenses of "murder in qualifying circumstances of one or more persons", "Committing criminal offenses within the framework of a criminal group", "Unlicensed possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition" and "Disturbing public peace".

For the same incident, Laert Haxhiu was also sentenced to life imprisonment.
