Serious accident in Berat, Shkodran makes dangerous maneuvers on the road,

A serious accident happened last night at the entrance to the city of Berat. A vehicle, Fuoristradë Benz type, with English license plates was making dangerous maneuvers on Kombinati road and at one point the driver, Leon Simoni, 31 years old, lost control of the vehicle.

As a result, it hit 3 people who were on the side of the road, next to their vehicle, type Fiat Punto, with license plate AA 836 AG. Even after the collision, the driver of the Benz dragged them along with the vehicle, causing serious injuries.

The injured are: Blerina Nerjaku, 45 years old, resident of Shijak, Mersine Nerjaku, 37 years old, resident of Switzerland, and Shkëlqim Kapxhiu, 63 years old, resident of Velabisht village in Berat. The injured were transported to the Regional Hospital of Berat, where they are under the care of doctors and two of them are undergoing surgical interventions.

Many police officers went to the scene as well as leaders of DVP Berat, who are also carrying out the inspection of the scene and the questioning of the witnesses, to find out the causes and dynamics of the serious accident. The driver of the vehicle that caused the accident, Leon Simoni, a resident of Shkodër, was escorted to the police, while it is not known whether he was drunk at the wheel or not.
