A pedestrian was hit by a car, causing serious injuries, today on "Zahir Pajaziti" street in Prizren.

The injured person was sent for treatment to the University Clinical Center of Kosovo (QKUK).

Meanwhile, the Kosovo Police has announced that the driver of the vehicle has been detained for 48 hours. From the footage of the security cameras, the car can be seen at high speed as it hits the citizen in the white lines of the pedestrians.

"A traffic accident was reported on 21.12.2023 around 00:30. The accident happened on Zahir Pajaziti street in Prizren. A car that hit a pedestrian was involved in the accident. As a result of this accident, the pedestrian received serious injuries, where according to the doctor in charge, the injured person was sent to KKUK-Pristina. Regarding the case, the Custodial Prosecutor has been notified, who orders that the driver of the vehicle be detained for 48 hours", the police announcement states.
