International organizations of journalists have strongly reacted to SPAK's actions against journalist Elton Qyno, who decided to seize two phones and other electronic devices in an attempt to make him reveal the source of the information of the investigative articles.

"Mapping Media Freedom" quotes the lawyer of the journalist Qyno who says that "the orders of the first instance are contrary to the standards established by the Supreme Court for the protection of journalistic sources and materials".

While the "European Center for Press and Media Freedom", states that "we are very concerned after learning that the Special Court of Tirana has allowed SPAK to seize the equipment of journalist Elton Qyno in order to reveal his sources".

The confidentiality and security of journalistic sources, the response further states, is paramount and should never be compromised.

SPAK's actions are also condemned by the "Safe Journalists" network, which states that SPAK should have used all available investigative methods to investigate possible leaks from their institution, without pressuring them to reveal sources and seizing the journalist's equipment. .

“Law enforcement agencies should prioritize securing and preserving information related to investigations before targeting journalists and their sources. This approach is vital for the protection of journalists and ensuring professional and comprehensive investigations", says the reaction of "Safe Journalists".
