The well-known journalist based in Kosovo, Jakob Weizman, has been trapped for several minutes inside a hall at the University of Prague, where a few moments ago a person opened fire.

According to the police, people were killed and injured in the incident, but the exact number of victims is not known.

According to Weizman, the perpetrator was killed while he was awaiting evacuation by special forces. He has published a photo showing that he barricaded the door of the hall, moments before the author tried to enter.

"Currently locked inside my classroom in Prague. The perpetrator is dead, but we are waiting to be evacuated. Praying to make it out alive.

We closed the door before the attacker tried to open it," he writes.
