Ajola Xoxa, the wife of the arrested mayor of Tirana, appeared today at the premises of the Special Prosecution Office, SPAK.

Xoxa has been reported to enforce the "compulsory appearance" security measure.

According to the Special Prosecution Office, investigations have revealed an organized corrupt mechanism that allowed the Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, and his wife, Ajola Xoxa, to benefit from public funds for personal enrichment, through illegal and camouflaged actions.
