The police have revealed the event of August 28 in Ostren, Bulqiza, where a 16-year-old man hit an elderly woman with a motorcycle to death.

It is learned that after the accident, the 16-year-old left the scene, but was then stopped by the police for the criminal offenses "Violation of traffic rules", "Driving the vehicle in an irregular manner", "Leaving the scene of the accident" ".

The victim's son is also under investigation for the criminal offense "Actions that prevent the discovery of the truth", since he knew that his mother had an accident and did not report it.

Two nurses at the Ostren Health Center, suspected of having committed the criminal offense of "Misuse of duty", have also been criminally prosecuted, as they did not report the injuries found on the body of the 82-year-old woman.

Police Notification:

The event that happened yesterday evening, on the road of the village of Ostren, where an 82-year-old woman had an accident, was revealed, an event which was initially reported as an accidental fall. The 16-year-old man, who from the investigations showed that he had an accident with the 82-year-old woman, with a motorcycle and then left the scene of the accident, is arrested. Criminal proceedings have been launched against the son of the 82-year-old woman for the criminal offense of "Actions that prevent the discovery of the truth", and for 2 nurses of the Health Center of the Ostren Administrative Unit, for the criminal offense of "Abuse of duty".

On 28.08.2024, around 11.40 p.m., the services of the Bulqiza Police Station received information that in the village of Ostren, an 82-year-old woman SM accidentally fell on the road and as a result of her injuries, she died on the way to the Bulqiza hospital. , the investigation group was immediately set up to verify and clarify the circumstances of this case.

After the in-depth investigations, carried out by the specialists of the Section for the Investigation of Crimes at the Bulqiza Police Station and the collection of all material evidence, it became possible to fully clarify the circumstances of this event, where it turned out that the 82-year-old woman, around 20.00, on 28.08.2024, was involved in an accident by a motorcycle driven by 16-year-old citizen LM, who left the scene of the accident after the incident. Following the actions, the citizen LM was arrested and detained for the criminal offenses "Violation of traffic rules", "Driving the vehicle in an irregular manner", "Leaving the scene of the accident". Following the investigations, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office, where the criminal proceedings against the citizens began:

PM, 56 years old, suspected of having committed the criminal offense "Actions that prevent the discovery of the truth", after he knew that his mother had an accident and did not report it. IK, 56 years old and HK, 62 years old, nurses by profession at the Health Center of the Ostren Administrative Unit, suspected of having committed the criminal offense of "Abuse of duty", as they did not report the injuries found on the body of the 82-year-old. The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of Dibër General Jurisdiction, for further actions.
