The show Fiks Fare broadcasted on Friday evening a complaint referred to the non-completion of the 9-year-old school "Azem Hajdari" in Babrru.

The investment of 492 million lek has remained suspended, as there were delays in the tender that was opened for furnishing the school. For this reason, it is not inaugurated. Under these conditions, its 600 students have been studying in another school in Paskuqan for more than two years.

Every day, these children travel by school bus to the "Isa Boletini" high school in Paskuqan, where they teach after 1:00 p.m., that is, the second shift.

The citizen tells Fiksi that the school construction project was expected to be completed in September 2024, where the children would return to their school for the new school year. This did not happen due to the fact that the school was not furnished at the time that was foreseen.

The worried parent says that their children are not able to do their full lessons since they are on second shift at the school where they have moved and that their biggest fear is that the opening of the school may be delayed again. The latter indicates that he made a request to the Kamez Municipality and the Kamez ZVA and that he was told that the deadline for opening the school will be on October 15, which was not done.

In order to verify the complaint that the parent referred to the editors of the Fiks Fare show, Fiks journalists made several observations near the school premises. Where they managed to have conversations with the parents who claim that this has become a problem and that the school is not opening because it has not been furnished yet.

The journalists of Fisk asked for information from the Kamez Municipality.

The Deputy Mayor of this Municipality, Mrs. Rebeka Sulejmani in an interview for Fiksin says that all the appropriate procedures have been done by the municipality.

She says that everything is finished and the school is ready. The latter shows that the inauguration of this school was not done as a result of not furnishing the school on time. She says that the school has not started to be furnished and this is not the fault of the municipality.

Mrs. Sulejmani says that Kamez Municipality has announced the winner of one of the operators who offered the best quality and a more reasonable price compared to other operators. Mrs. Sulejmani says that the problem started when the announcement was made of the operator who won the tender for furnishing the school, after one of the other operators appealed and at the moment this issue is in the KPP.

The latter states that they are waiting for the answer that the commission will give and that until that moment Kamez Municipality has nothing in hand.
