VIDEO/ Heels 'on the throat', the 'horrific' intervention

Roma won 3-1 at Ludogorets for the final Europa League group game, securing passage to the knockout stages. With the result secured, the end of the match brought a heavy tackle on Roma midfielder Zalewski.

The defender from Benin, Oliver Verdon, clearing the ball, put his heels "on the throat" of the Roma midfielder. The intervention was harsh, with players clashing on the field. After consultation with VAR, the main referee Dabanovic decided to issue the red card to the Ludogorets player. Fortunately, the Roma midfielder did not suffer anything serious.
