The attacker of Egnatia, Rafael Duamena, died in the hospital after collapsing on the green field.

The news has been confirmed by AFF officials and by the hospital where the attacker was sent after he suddenly fell unconscious during the match with Partizan.

Rafael Duamena received first aid on the field and was transported by ambulance to the hospital, but did not manage to survive, passing away at the age of 28.

This was the third collapse on the pitch for the Ghanaian striker. A few years ago, he was diagnosed with a heart problem and in 2020 he was forced to have a defibrillator installed to avoid cardiac arrest, before signing with Real Zaragoza.
