At the moment of handing over the World Cup trophy after Argentina's victory over France in the final, Lionel Messi was presented with a traditional Arab cape, worn on important occasions, as a symbol of honor and respect.

Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thanin shouldered his mantle before the "Flea" received the World Cup trophy from FIFA President Gianni Infantino.

The mantle, in Arabic is called "bisht", a traditional garment for men in the countries of the Persian Gulf. It is part of the 'abaya', an element of clothing that characterizes prominent people in wealthy Qatar.

Ahmed Al Barwani, a lawyer from Oman, has offered "Pleshti" up to one million euros for this tunic.

"My friend, Messi, I congratulate you on the victory. I'm offering you a million dollars to give me that mantle,” he wrote to the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner via Twitter. In an interview with The National, the lawyer expressed his pride in seeing the Arab world exposed so positively: "This tour has been a source of pride and has highlighted important facts and that the Arabs are united."

The lawyer in question wants to have this outfit, but not wear it:

“It will be displayed to commemorate this proud moment and help us relive it, as well as remind us that we can do anything. I was in the stadium to experience "live" the moment when the Emir of Qatar gave Messi this cloak".
