Lionel Messi chooses his successor: Jamal, present and future!

There are thousands of kilometers and an entire ocean separating Lionel Messi (USA) and Barcelona (Spain).

But the Argentine, who spent most of his career at Camp Nou, continues to stay close to the Blaugrana club.

Lionel Messi was present at an Adidas event, where some of the attendees were able to ask him a few questions about various topics. One of them wanted to know who his favorite young footballers were and, specifically, if he would choose someone he particularly liked.

The Argentine has been clear in choosing among all the young stars, the 17-year-old Barcelona and Spanish national team striker, Lamin Jamal.

"I think there are great players in circulation who have a spectacular future," began the star from Rosario, who was also asked by those present at the event if there were any players from this new wave who reminded him of himself when he was young.

The current Inter Miami player ended up expressing Lamin Jamal as his chosen one.

"If I have to choose with someone, I will stay with Jamal because of what he has done so far at his age and because of the future that awaits him. That depends on him, and on many other things of course, because football is like that. But he is the present and the future of football," he concluded, amid applause from those present.
