The coach of the Korçë team, Ernest Gjoka, provided details of the incident on "Albania Live", describing the case as an event that should not have happened.

He said that the violence started from Illyria players, who mainly attacked Skanderbeg's foreign footballers.

" Unprecedented case. One of our players was hit, fell to the ground and then the other players. The situation was created by the Illyria footballers. It should not have happened. I don't understand why there was this hatred towards our players. I'm sorry because foreign players were attacked and it is understandable what image is created. The players who were attacked are calmer but the psychological and physical violence was very brutal. I don't know what the group will do. Several players were raped, Ramos, Akpama, Tahid and Altin Ukici, " he said.
