FIFA's decision to punish the Albanian Football Federation due to the behavior of the fans in the match with Andorra caused not a little surprise but also revolt.
The punishment was followed by another, more bizarre decision, the closure of part of the stadium for the Albania-Serbia match, apparently to keep out the national team's most ardent fans.
The absurdity continued when FIFA determined that only open-minded, cosmopolitan people, or those from discriminated associations, should sit in these areas of the stadium.
Meanwhile, the reaction of the Red and Black Fans has been harsh, who have launched a barrage of accusations against the president of the Albanian Football Association, Armand Duka, describing him as incompetent, vindictive, who has failed at the helm of the Albanian Football Association and whose only thing he knows how to do is increase ticket prices.
Full reaction:
Shame! This is the only worthy response to the chronic incompetence and arrogance of the Albanian Football Federation!
Instead of guaranteeing a sporting atmosphere and protecting loyal fans, on the eve of the national team's crucial matches, the Albanian Football Association chooses to expel them. Worse still, it mobilizes the entire state apparatus against Albanian fans, as if they were ordinary criminals.
FIFA's decision to punish the Albanian Football Association is only a reflection of a deeper disease – structural incompetence and lack of vision. An institution that cannot properly organize a football match has the courage to dream of organizing a European Championship!
The constant manipulation of the feelings of the fans – sometimes by moving matches to Elbasan, sometimes by threatening to close sectors – has had a single goal: to drive away those who follow the National Team everywhere. This time, the blow is even lower: precisely those organized fans who have shown exemplary behavior and dedication in the stadiums are being penalized.
The only skill of this failed federation is to raise ticket prices. This is their "strategy": to rip off honest fans to cover up their incompetence.
Instead of taking responsibility, they choose the easier path: to "kill" Albanian football, punishing those who keep the passion for the National Team alive.
This is not just a punishment – ??it is a clear reflection of the AFF's total failure to protect football, fans, and the image of Albania.
It's time for the fans' voices to be heard.
It's time for those responsible to be held accountable!
