Briken Calja was declared the Balkan champion in weightlifting for the category up to 79 kilograms.

He lifted 335 kilograms in total, winning 3 gold medals.

The Team Albania athlete, who competes in the -79kg weight class, began his competition with 150kg in the snatch, a test he successfully completed and set a new Balkan record after 25 years.

In the clean and jerk, Briken Çalja started with 180kg, successfully passing it, while raising the weight to 185kg in the third attempt, securing first place in the clean and jerk and setting a new Balkan record for this style.

In total, Briken Calja lifted 335kg, setting a new record in the men's and women's doubles. 3 Gold medals and 3 new Balkan records for champion Briken Calja.

Meanwhile, Erkand Qerimaj did not make it to the podium, as he was unable to successfully pass his tests.
