After solving the issue of children, since they are not married, it was only the family house that still connected Shakira and Gerard Pique: the former couple decided to put it up for sale and split the profit in half.

But that's not all: according to the Spanish newspaper 'La Vanguardia', Shakira's ex-father-in-law, Joan Pique, had reminded the star of the presence of a clause in the sales contract: if she did not leave by April 30, he would have to pay compensation, being a director of the company that bought the house in September 2022.

Before being kicked out by her ex-father-in-law, Shakira thought it best to pack her bags early and leave for the United States. The social message that Shakira herself wanted to dedicate to 'her' Barcelona is touching:
