Minister for Parliament Elisa Spiropali, on International Parliamentary Day called on the opposition to participate in the Special Anti-Corruption Commission, while stressing that "the Assembly is not an arena of unfettered speech".

Today, on International Parliamentarian Day, I wish we could learn from history.

She has shown us that the strongest and longest debates are those with the most elected words, that the Assembly is not the arena of unfettered speech, but the rein of every kind of abuse of speech, that to be the representative of your people is not only a party duty, but above all, all the duty of Albania, And that the legislative, monitoring and supervisory functions of the Assembly are not words of mouth, but duties that take value only when they are intended for the truth.

Albania2030 in the European Union is not an electoral slogan, but a fully realisable national commitment.
I wish that the opposition understands and internalizes its importance by looking beyond the pens and bars that make it impossible to see the wider horizons and join us in the Special Commission for Deepening Reforms for Good Governance, Rule of Law, Anticorruption and the Disinformation Commission, showing responsibility and maturity at this threshold of the parliamentary session.

The next session, one step closer to the elections, I wish not to add to the heat, but the quality of the work of our joint Assembly.
