Prime Minister Edi Rama promised that the fines received by the residents of Theth for the constructions without permission carried out in the past.
" All these fines will be forgiven ", he said during a meeting with the residents of the tourist village, accompanied by the mayor of Shkodra Benet Beci, where they distributed property titles.
"They are not constructions made abusively to avoid the law, but they are constructions made out of necessity, while in the conditions of legal impossibility people have continued to make them".
However, the prime minister said that abuses in the future will not be allowed.
"This does not mean that whoever will place a stone without permission will be tolerated from now on. This means that at that stage when this happened, there was no attention from the municipality, zero. Because the municipality is very important in this process. And one of the reasons that this is happening today is because of the municipality, not because of the will of the government. There are many people who say why did you remember about Shkodra so late. We have not been remembered so late, but we have not been given the opportunity to do more. The Mayor, at this time that he is in charge of the municipality, has come here to Theth more than all the mayors of Shkodra in their entire history", added Rama.
The Prime Minister also said that he believed that the Dukagjin road will be completed within the year. " It will open another magical area that today is visited with great difficulty ".
