Sali Berisha calls President Ilir Meta's decree freed from office and active military service, Bajram Begajn, as unconstitutional.
"The decree outside the territory of the country loses power. The decree is null. The European constitutional right does not issue a decree abroad," Sali Berisha declared outside the Assembly's plenary sessions hall.
"When you are abroad the Head of State is the Speaker of the Assembly," Berisha said.
According to the former Prime Minister, waiting at Begaj's Pentagon is 'not a passport to make him President'.
"Even The Albanian was received in the White House," he said.
Berisha expressed distrust of the Constitutional Court. "A new modus vivendi has emerged, where the issue says it is not legitimized", he said.
