Bajram Begaj arrived a few minutes ago at the premises of the Assembly of the Republic, where at 18:00 will be voted as the new head of state.

As can be seen from the photo below, Begaj arrived at the Assembly in a car of the Ministry of Defense. He needs only 71 votes to be elected President of the Republic.

He was the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, but resigned after being nominated by the SP Presidency as a candidate for President. President Ilir Meta also signed the decree for the release of Begaj in this position, paving the way for a vote in the Assembly for the Head of State.
