The Democratic Party represented Only Oerd Bylykbashi in the Laws Commission, while the rest of the members of this group supported Enkeleyejd Alibeaj's decision to boycott the process.
Bylykbashi said the process has been tainted.
"The fact that the Prime Minister has turned the process of appointing the President as a prestigious candidate at the last moment, this does not honour the process of electing the President of the Republic. We should have the opportunity to get to know each other, to see in detail the shortages of problems for candidacies", he said.
"Active military can't run. He was deposited in the Assembly as an active military officer. The decree then does not resolve this anticonstitutionality, incompatibility. The moment you surrendered your candidacy, they were in constitutional incompatibility," Bylykbashi said.
Bylykbashi stated that this is why the PD will vote against it.
Barjam Begaj was supported by 37 Socialist Party deputies.
