Rexhep Qosja: Some of our current rulers have subverted the democratic codes.

The well-known academician, Rexhep Qosja, has brought back, through an article on his official Facebook page, fragments from the future testament book with the title "The Alphabet of Democratic Culture".

In this article, Qosja has made some conclusions that arouse curiosity, criticizing the idea of the Kosovar nation, among other things. In addition to the criticism of this idea, Qosja also has some interesting and ambiguous sentences, which can be read as criticism of the government in Kosovo, but also in Albania.

One of Qose's criticisms is towards the standardized language. Qosja has a negative opinion, as he himself was a participant in the Spelling Congress, which was organized in 1972. Focusing on the criticism of the government, Qosja believes that it is not difficult to be convinced that some members of the political class are more they think and try to take from Albania and Kosovo rather than give to these two countries. Among other things, Qosja mentions the phrase "our current rulers", but without clarifying exactly which rulers he is talking about. Moreover, he does not even clarify which country he is talking about, Kosovo or Albania, i.e. Albin Kurti or Edi Rama and his government.

Qosja has not forgotten to criticize former Prime Minister Sali Berisha. Although he did not mention him by name, he implied that he was talking about Berisha in a paragraph filled with harsh criticism.

"As it is seen today and as it has been seen and heard even earlier when he ruled Albania, sometimes as prime minister, sometimes as head of state and always as head of the Democratic Party, his policy was determined by the unrestrained power which neither culture nor ethics have not been able to stop or restrain them. And they can't stop them even today. Understandable. They are not guided by consciousness and conscience", - writes Qosja.

QOSA ANALYSIS

1.

When the value systems of society and the state are destroyed, then life becomes not only unbearable but also disgusting. The data proving this destruction is increasing more and more. When the multitude of these data is visible even to the eyes of those who do not even look with their minds and those who know how to think only with their mouths, then the unexpected can happen. This has been proven by the fate of the Roman Empire and the fate of the Byzantine Empire.

2.

His fate, whose name I am not telling you this time, fully proves the statement of Mahatma Gandhi: "First they completely ignore you; secondly they mock you day and night; thirdly, they don't leave anything unsaid against you, in the end, after the first, second and third time, you come out victorious, that is, you win.

3.

Whoever said it first said it well: you can never underestimate the mind and taste of those who always want to be pulled by the nose!

4.

He is wise, he is talented, he has a lot of political and general experience, that's why he knows, he is convinced that there are social, political, cultural and historical limitations that determine what can be achieved for one term of the president . And the mass is not satisfied with what was achieved only during one mandate. For this reason, he will mobilize his knowledge and strength to accomplish what he failed to accomplish in the first mandate in the second. This is a fruitful principle in democracy, of course if it does not give in to corruption.

5.

It is interesting, he said it orally and then he wrote it by hand, that in history, not those who have raised but those who have been denied by religion have remained forever precious.

6.

It has been said by the thinkers of different centuries that there is a large number of rulers who have come, are coming and will come to power with meanness, who are kept in power thanks to the follies of others; who fall from power when their minds are full of foreigners to whom they were constantly kissing. This is also a principle, an attitude that defines democracy.

7.

One of the political and state sentences that officials and non-officials repeat very often, in official meetings and outside of them, is: let's become Europe. They don't say to become America but Europe because we are closer to Europe and they think that we learn faster from the closest one and it is easier to become like it. When they say this sentence, they think to become like the French, like the English, like the Italians, like the Germans. None of them have been heard to say: let us become what we are. From what we have, from what we are, let's make the new, the valuable, the important, the useful, the necessary, the necessary, the desirable, the beautiful, the eternal. And that's how we will become Europe and we will become Europe because Europe will appreciate what we have done and how we have done it and will not hesitate to honor us and learn something from us.

8.

The lack of agreements between those in power and those in opposition brings governments wandering between authoritarianism and democracy, in fact brings the autocratic and totalitarian use of democracy!

9.

Corruption, nepotism, various small and big privileges of the rulers tire and strain the society politically, economically and morally. Until when it will be like this without the right answer that the sovereign - the people - would have to give, it is difficult to know and difficult to say.

The causes of this strain, of this fatigue, do not want to know that the consequences of their privileges may one day hit them head first!

10.

Immanuel Kant: The obligation that man has to himself is most often and most violated by the opposite of truth: by lies.

11.

Wolfgang Goethe: In order for a person to be able and know how to respect a personality, he himself would have to be someone and something.

12.

God forbid that I too be a supporter of that mayor or that prime minister who ignores, who violates the most important duty of a president, of a patriotic prime minister: the creation of equal opportunities for all citizens. Such presidents and prime ministers create opportunities only for themselves!

13.

In our social, political, cultural, health life, sometimes the consequences are removed, but usually the causes remain!

What to say about this skill?

Avoiding the consequences of evil by silencing the causes is the demagogic skill that demagogues boast of. Let's call them small-minded and heartless people!

14.

He comes to power with meanness, he is kept in power thanks to the servility and stupidity of others, and he is removed from power when his mind is full of foreigners who in our political lives are called internationals.

15.

The greatness of the barbarian peoples is measured by the amount of weapons they have, said the old European thinker, while the civilized people measure it by the quantity, quality, meaning, significance, value of the arts, sciences, and philosophies.

16.

An elderly publicist told me, and at the same time begs me not to mention his name, that today's Albanian pulpits would be good, and it would be good because the presentations, statements, discussions, controversies in them would be well explained, as if they were called with the foreign word translated into Albanian lehore. I am not sure that linguists will agree with this new Albanian word created from the translation of the Latin word, actually Italian.

17.

Culture is the concrete content of the highest historical existence.

Culture, that weather is said and written, is the identity of the people; it preserves its core values; it is his spirituality. As can be seen from its activity, the Ministry of Culture of Kosovo does not seem to care to prove these virtues of our culture properly and adequately.

18.

Political decisions are more convincing, safer, and valuable if they are based on the data brought by scientific research.

It is understandable, therefore, why some of the big states, big in all respects, have scientific institutes which serve the state institutions with their activity.

19.

The mind, said a great European poet of Ethiopian origin, is always local, while genius is universal.

The same creator has also expressed this opinion: Genius and evil cannot coexist.

20.

The silence of intellectuals in social and political life is more immoral than the violence of dictators.

21.

In today's political life, nature has taken away someone's mind, someone's forehead eyes, someone's ears, someone's luck, and some politicians have taken all of these away.

22.

Whoever forgets or ignores history will be forced to repeat it as it was!

23.

The French minister Alexis de Tokkevill, a very brief minister in the middle of the nineteenth century, said that even the most banal figures of the time can triumph through voting. Such triumphs in his time were not rare. And today? Today, they will not be rare either in the great Europe, they say, nor in other countries that have and do not have the European culture for the democratic regulation of political, social, cultural and general relations. How to prevent such triumphs in the polls? Of course, with the rule of law.

24.

With their politics, some of our current rulers have overturned historical, democratic, cultural and social codes!

25.

The famous Galileo said that the number of those who explain difficult matters correctly is much smaller than the number of those who explain them wrongly. Explanation is like running. An Arabian horse will outrun a herd of donkeys.

26.

Terrorism! A great disaster for man, society and the state. Terrorism does not only endanger security as the officials are treating it today, but also demography, civilization and other components of the identity of the attacked state and its people.

27.

It is said, but what is said is quickly forgotten, that nothing compromises a power more than itself when it serves only itself.

28.

History should teach people that a greater danger than overestimation is underestimating the enemy.

29.

National interest in politics happens to be decided on the basis of the state, on the basis of the party and on the basis of the nation. There is no doubt that the national interest is mostly ignored and harmed when it is decided on a party basis. When we see and hear how the opposition parties behave towards the party or parties that are in power, we are convinced that even today, all day long, national interests are decided on the basis of the party. And thus they violate the national interest.

30.

The famous thinker and politician Thomas Carlyle has said and written that Shakespeare is worth more than the entire British Kingdom.

Why not? The British kingdom may be disintegrated and may be invaded by some mad invader, but Shakespeare's works can neither be destroyed, nor destroyed, nor conquered by any invader. They are invincible and unforgettable. This does not mean that the commitment to spiritual creativity should be the main commitment in every state program.

31.

As it is seen today and as it has been seen and heard even earlier when he ruled Albania, sometimes as prime minister, sometimes as head of state and always as head of the Democratic Party, his politics were determined by powerful excesses which neither culture nor ethics they have not been able to stop or restrain them. And they can't stop them even today. Understandable. They are not guided by consciousness and conscience.

32.

In the Albanian political and state mentality, the executive power continues to be the dominant power. And, as a result of this dominance in our political and state mentality, true democracy cannot be built. For this reason, jurisprudence cannot be built as a third power in our two countries. Fortunately, in recent times in Albania and Kosovo, jurisprudence has begun to become independent as a third power.

33.

In the Albanian political life, you can hear high officials who behave like the emperor of Byzantium, Kodima, who said: the ruler has the right to change the meaning of words. Oh, how the words of the officials are issued with a changed meaning sometimes and sometimes even grammatically mutilated. Desolate words and desolate listeners!

34.

It has been said by a number of our researchers that efforts against the standard language are realized as efforts against the collective identity of Albanians.

It has been said by many others that efforts to create and recognize the Kosovar nation are realized as efforts against the collective identity of Albanians.

Both the first and the second are efforts against the Albanian nation.

35.

It is not difficult to convince a person who follows the Albanian political, social and state situation that some members of the political class think and try to take more from Albania and Kosovo than give to them. What they give is valued in different ways, while what they receive is called corruption, bribery, looting, usurpation, theft and other names.

36.

The conflict of interests between the powerful, on the one hand, and others, mostly the neglected, on the other, is still silent and unspoken. The time will come when it will be expressed, bringing serious consequences to the social and spiritual consensus. Understandable. The political class has the tools for that usurpation of interests: it has the media that serve it, it has the police, it has the unnamed argots and it has the other various means of control.

The other layers, including the layer of intellectuals, are and remain silent, shackled mainly because of poverty!

37.

The Albanian people, divided into two states today, have no biological, economic, spiritual, civilizing, cultural power to avoid the alienation of their identity in the European Union. The preservation, development and enrichment of its identity cannot be found in today's European Union, even for the reason that old nationalisms have strengthened in it and new nationalisms are being created.

For this reason, the union of the two Albanian states, Albania and Kosovo, which can only create and develop a common, integrative policy when united, becomes a condition for preserving, developing and enriching the Albanian national identity in the European Union.

38.

In the time, society and civilization such as the current time, society and civilization, it is important to know and appreciate the very significant thought of the great German writer, Goethe, expressed briefly: "In some times, for writings (for thoughts and for decisions) character is much more important than talent".

39.

Some people we know but can never fully understand. The reason is simple. They become incomprehensible to us with some of their thoughts. One of these thoughts is the thought of commitment to Europe called Europeanism. The Europeanism of some of them, unfortunately, is not based on love for Europe but on hatred and contempt for the East, especially on hatred and contempt for the Islamic religion. Let us pity such false Europeanists.

Some of them have now begun to supplement their commitment to Europe, and some others to replace it with America and Americanism. They do not worship Americanism because of the achievements and great values of the USA, because of civilization, culture, liberal democracy, science with which they brought great fruits to humanity, but for another reason: because Americanism, they say , is more conjunctural, more profitable than Europeanism.

40.

The politician who does not see beyond the first curve and the politician who does not know how the state, the people, his nation will be after twenty years have no ethical right to engage in politics and be state officials. This is the political lesson that Europe has given to the world over time.

Excerpts from the testament book that will be published under the title "The Alphabet of Democratic Culture".
