The government is expected to make a decision to sell firewood at the same price as before the war in Ukraine. The news was announced by Prime Minister Edi Rama himself during a meeting with citizens in Dropull.
This decision comes after the stratospheric increase in the price of firewood in Shkodër and Korçë. From 5 thousand lek that was last year, this year a cubic meter costs 7500 lek.
"We will not let them raise the price of firewood. We will not leave them! What firewood that started at twice the price has to do with all the other products, I don't know.
The government's decision will be that the price of firewood will be sold at the pre-war price. This is where the municipalities came into work, making some strange contracts" , said Rama.
In his speech, the Prime Minister also focused on a problem raised by livestock farmers who requested that pasture permits be longer than the one-year deadline.
The head of the government admitted that this is a mistake and stated that the terms of use of pastures should and will be longer.
"Then this stadium is a gem. The other says give me 3 years to stay on the mountain, you tell him you will stay a year. This is a masterpiece, who thought of this only once a year, I don't know, or when they did it they had in mind that this one would come down from the mountain once a year to give us something from the mountains. Where can we find those who say they will leave and stay in the mountains, to keep that sector alive, who will go to the mountains. Those who take selfies, and with Kim Kardashian on the phone in math class, will go ," added Rama.
