"Barbaric, ugly, ordinary and schizophrenic". This is how Prime Minister Edi Rama considered the opposition's accusations on the 2 billion dollar project of the Port of Durrës.
Speaking to the media after leaving the pink headquarters, Rama declared that he will not deal with the sludge and clarified that the Albanian state has received 33% of the shares.
The Prime Minister further added that this investment puts Albania on the tourism map of the Mediterranean, as he added that a similar investment is also made in the water line of Belgrade.
"I have seen many ugly things that are a source of disgust in Albanian political history and this is one of the ugliest. Mouthing in the most schizophrenic, lowest way of a personality of the global economy, one of whose companies is registered in Abu Dhabi is headquartered in the tallest tower of Abu Dhabi, a personality who has built half of Dubai and come here not because there is no work, but it comes as a result of a partnership with the United Emirates at a very difficult moment when I went to discuss the families affected by the earthquake in Durrës and when I expressed my displeasure or reservation that despite all the friendship of a story that started from the war in Kosovo when they opened the runway to bring humanitarian aid that brought the reaction of the Crown Prince at the time encouraging this investor that is national pride in one of the richest countries on the planet. It is entered in the most barbaric, ugly, ordinary and schizophrenic way by a non-woman, by a scum that every day pollutes the houses of Albanians with its production, which is scum, I don't know what to say.
I do not deal with these, I am telling you that we have not approved anything. We have submitted for discussion with an accelerated procedure a strategic agreement, which is good for you and your family, it is good for all of you who are the younger generation, for your parents that it is not the work that brings investment from 2 billion for the construction of the largest port in the Mediterranean, but it transforms our tourism industry. How can it be, while all these questions of what will be benefited are legitimate and belong to the discussion. We have explained a part and it is an investment where the Albanian state did not give, but simultaneously received 33% of the shares. A similar investment in Belgrade's water line has brought an extraordinary impact in Serbia. We got 1% more shares than them. Make as many of these silly shopping sprees as you want. It is about an investment that puts Albania on the tourism map of the Mediterranean, which is the most important tourism basin in the world. Who are you talking to? Non to women or those who go from properties", Rama said.
