Referring to previous reports in the media, the Court of Appeal of General Jurisdiction informs the following:

Based on the materials of the Tirana Local Police Directorate, it results that on 29.05.2024, around 08:34, on "Pjeter Bogdani" street, in the area of ​​the former Block in Tirana, the citizen with the initials D. A, in cooperation with other citizens, in a family relationship between them, they hit citizen Sokol Mengjesi, a lawyer by profession, with hard objects.

The person under investigation, a citizen with the initials D. N, submitted the request with the object: "Revocation, replacement of the measure of personal security from "prison arrest" to "house arrest".

The Court of First Instance of Tirana General Jurisdiction, with decision no. 2188 Regj. Them, dated 25.09.2024, has decided: Dismissal of the request of the requesting party DN

The case on appeal was reviewed on the basis of the complaint submitted by the person under investigation with the initials D. N, who requested the replacement of the measure of personal security from "prison arrest" to "house arrest".

At the end of the trial, today on 22.10.2024, the Court of Appeal of General Jurisdiction, composed of the panel with Judge Ms. Valbona Vata, decided:

- Enforcing decision no. 2188 Reg. Them, dated 25.09.2024 of the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana.
