The Democratic Party is holding its Presidency meeting today, the first since its defeat in the May 11 parliamentary elections.
Democratic MPs who were not re-elected in the last elections will not participate in this meeting.
It is worth noting that Ervin Salianji, who left the cell in July after serving a 1-year prison sentence for defamation, is also present.
Sali Berisha : We have gathered for the stance of our political force towards the electoral farce of May 11, 2025. The DP, as the main opposition force, engaged in an intense, serious international effort to present the grave situation.
I emphasize this moment as one of capital importance because unfortunately, for reasons of greater recognition, it is not widely realized that Albania is experiencing an autocratic dictatorship.
This certainly worries me in public opinion, but it worries me even more in our membership and supporters.
This does not come from their dislike, there are several factors, but one of them is our poor work to clarify our membership and supporters on these fundamental political concepts.
Totalitarian dictatorships, those who experienced them say that today's is not like that. And they are right. Because totalitarian dictatorship excludes pluralism, authoritarian dictatorship does not exclude but suppresses pluralism. And it is cruel in concentrating all powers in one hand.
Of the 220,000 salaried employees of this state, from the president to the most ordinary employee, only 2,000 are not appointed or elected by the state party. 218,000 in an almost total concentration belong to the state party, the party of crime.
We live in an autocratic dictatorship. Without free media there is no information. Citizens are deceived. No one can judge based on their surroundings.
When the study shows that the audience is dominated by those media outlets that, in the doctrine of deception, present defeats as successes, they do everything they can to focus on secondary issues to avoid scandals.
