Actor Florjan Binaj has reacted for the first time after receiving the support of the Democratic Party for the race for mayor of Tirana.

Binaj thanks the DP, Albania Becomes, and the Nismë Thurrje Initiative for publicly supporting him and says he is open to support from other opposition forces.

"I invite you to join our minds and hearts against the power that is violating the lives and future of our children," he says.

Full reaction:

I thank the Democratic Party, Albania Becomes, and the Nisma Thurje for the support they gave to my candidacy as an independent candidate.

I remain open to any support that will come from opposition forces.

Above all, I would like to thank the thousands of citizens of Tirana who have encouraged me these days.
