Democratic MP Oerd Bylykbashi has stated in Top Story that with the political attack on Sali Berisha, Prime Minister Edi Rama wants to crush the opposition.
"If SPAK were to arrest the prime minister, the first thing that would happen is that the government falls. If SPAK were to arrest the head of the opposition, the first thing that happens is the opposition falls", said Bylykbashi, analyzing the issue from a political point of view.
According to Bylykbashi, SPAK should not do politics.
Excerpts from the debate:
Duma: The opposition will continue with the axiom that SPAK is Edi Rama, and will not recognize the fact that if it was only Rama, many of his ministers would not benefit from having them in prison. If Rama were the only one to hit the old political establishment, it would not be useful to hit him. Or will he recognize the fact that SPAK is actually built by the US and other strategic allies.
Bylykbashi: Then, those who think that Rama acts intuitively are wrong. Rama is against this. He makes a shot further, and in reverse even. What he wants is that the moment he will face the opposition again, the opposition will be crushed.
Let's make a parallelism. If SPAK arrested the prime minister, the first thing that would happen is that the government falls. If SPAK were to arrest the leader of the opposition, the first thing that happens is that the opposition falls. This is from the political side, beyond the legal aspect.
In this story, the burden of proof, beyond a reasonable public doubt, rests with SPAK, which has not been involved in politics.
