Democratic MP Ervin Salianji says that one of the members of the Guard, who are tasked with maintaining peace in the parliament, was armed inside the hall.
Salianji said that carrying a weapon inside the hall is prohibited, and on the show "Opinion" he showed a video where he claims that the guard can see the gun in his belt.
"It is a form of reaction, the forces come when you see that there is injustice. The person who had a weapon on his body was caught by us on video, he was armed inside the plenary session. The head of the Guard is a person with problems highlighted by the law, a person who receives 120 million euros in tenders with his family members, who will normally serve them.
The gunman, it's this person here, I believe he's from the Guard. The moment we identify him as having a weapon, he is taken out and is no longer allowed to enter," said Salianji, among other things, while at the same time justifying the chaos he created by throwing chairs in the hall and lighting flares.
