In today's plenary session, at least four will be discussed about the energy situation in the country, and more specifically, the non-application of the 800 kilowatt bandage from ERE.
The president of ERE will answer today the questions that will be asked by the legislators about the energy situation. In her speech, the Minister of Energy, Belinda Balluku, said that, for her, it is inexplicable how the opposition wants a debate on the fact that ERE decided not to apply the 800 kwh band.
Likewise, the minister has accused the opposition of taking advantage of the crisis situation and of making fun of the awareness campaign for energy saving, as well as misinforming the citizens.
"The key to success in coping with this crisis is saving. You keep mocking and misinforming people. Today you are undermining one of the most important activities, energy saving, and you are all invested in stopping this process. From October 1-17, we have 5% less consumption compared to a year ago. This comes from the behavior of the citizens that you urge them not to take into account the austerity measures. You are the opposition to the ruble. You are urging people not to save. We say save, turn off the light, close the refrigerator door. You tell them not to save. This is arrogance", Balluku said .
According to her, " we have started saving from ourselves, and we are not forcing the citizens, but sensitizing them. The fact that compared to October 2021, Albanian consumers have consumed 5% less is to be welcomed and gives us hope. On September 30, we had the weather that improved the lake of Fierza, Koman and Vau e Deja, and having the data that the consumption decreased, the government made a decision not to apply the 800 kwh bandage ", said Balluku .
