"Don't call me darling", a fight broke out between Vokshi and the
Damian Gjiknuri/ Albana Vokshi

The meeting of the Special Parliamentary Committee for the Implementation of Electoral Reform was accompanied by tensions and strong clashes between representatives of the opposition and the majority.

At the center of the debate was the opposition's request for the presence in the hall of the head of the State Police, Skënder Hita.

The discussions escalated during the intervention of the co-chair of the committee, Damian Gjiknuri, who at one point in a debate with Democratic MP Albana Vokshi used the term "darling", which brought about the latter's immediate and harsh reaction.

The debate between them continued in high tones, as both sides exchanged direct replies:

Gjiknuri : Hold on, life is not black and white, dear!

Vokshi : Don't call me that, dear. Don't call me that, dear. I'm a member of the commission.

Gjiknuri : What can I say? Dear, madam, to make life colorful

Vokshi:  Don't interfere with my personal life.

Gjiknuri : I'm not talking about my personal life.

Vokshi : These are useless jokes.

Gjiknuri:  Batuta, to relieve tension. Let's not confuse roles. What business do I have with district directors? The police are a centralized body. It would be good if the police director were here. Okay, okay, I'll finish. Why are you upset?! Do you want him to come? Okay, let's make a request.

The clash between the commission members once again highlighted the tense political climate that accompanies discussions on electoral reform, while the request for the presence of State Police leaders remains one of the main points of debate between the parties.
