The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, reacted outside Parliament after the vote on the draft law on gender equality, which received 77 votes in favor.

Berisha stated that this was decided without debate, while he stated that Parliament has become formal because, according to him, none of its basic rules are being respected.

"They decided it without debate, terrified by their vote and stance. In fact, the parliament is simply formal because none of its basic rules are being respected. This was a moment to debate widely about the freedom that paves the way for the installation of post-Marxist ideology, the most dangerous ideology of the time, but now the Albanian citizens will have the floor. The DP is absolutely determined against any gender discrimination and has voted for a law among the best that exists, while today's law is a law that overturns the legal order of Albania, the country's constitution, the country's codes and other laws ," said Berisha.
