Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted regarding the law on gender equality.
Sharing Commissioner Marta Kos's post, Rama states that the law has been greatly misinterpreted by some parties.
He said that the law on gender equality is fully in line with the principles of the European Union.
"We apologize for the offensive way in which a very noble law, fully in line with EU principles on gender equality and non-discrimination, has been misused to distort public perception, as well as for the way in which the EU Ambassador has been used for such a low purpose. However, as we say in Albanian, let the dogs bark, the caravan moves forward," writes Prime Minister Rama.
