Endrit Shabani's letter to the CEC
Dear Commissioner,
Through this letter we would like to inform you that on October 15, 2025, Mr. Endrit Shabani has resigned from the position of chairman of the Nisma Thurje Party. After the vacancy was created, elections for chairman were organized, and the party's leadership structures elected Mr. Elton Çanaj as the head of the party.
As of October 24, 2025, these decisions have been filed with the Court of First Instance of the Tirana Judicial District and we are awaiting their registration in the register of political parties.
We provide you with this information, as November 3, 2025 is the deadline for submitting the report on expenses incurred by the Nisma Thurje Party for the general elections of May 11, 2025. According to the legislation, this report must also be authorized by the party chairman, but since the previous chairman has resigned, while the decision to elect the new chairman has not yet been registered in the register of political parties, we are faced with a special situation. According to the statute of the Nisma Thurje party, the management of the daily affairs of the party, as well as representation with third parties, is exercised by the Secretary General. Also, in order to leave no ambiguity, before submitting the resignation, the previous chairman has also left a special authorization by delegating the right of representation in the CEC to the secretary general of the party.
In view of the above, in order to respect the deadlines set by the CEC and with the aim of avoiding any penalty arising from the late submission of the report, we are filing the report on the expenses of the May 11, 2025 election campaign, with the signature of the secretary general and the party financier.
